The Mets vs Red Sox game on Tuesday was full of drama, and ejections. However, the highlight of the game was not Red Sox sweeping off the victory from the Mets, but the great rivalry between Walker Buehler and Francisco Lindor, which also took place on social media.

What was Walker Buehler’s reply to Francisco Lindor

After getting ejected from the game, the Red Sox’s pitcher, Walker Buehler, took to his X account and gave a statement on how the Mets’ star Francisco Lindor was behaving on the field, which invoked Walker’s ejection.“I wouldn’t want me out there either. Sad thing is the BULLPEN is full of f***ing animals. Tough choice.”The tweet to which Walker replied was from sports commentator, Jordan Moore, who posted a slow-motion video of the incident that clearly showed how Lindor was provoking umpire Estabrook to eject Walker from the game. Moore further went on to condemn Lindor by calling him a loser in his tweet, and calling him out for his behavior.

What did Walker Buehler say to the umpire that caused his ejection

As per various footage from the game, Walker Buehler gave the following statement to umpire Mike Estabrook, which led to his ejection.“It’s right down the f***ing middle. F**k You”However, there have been videos stating that the umpire initiated the argument by asking Walker to stay in his mound and not move from there. However, Walker was quite confused as Estabrook did make a wrong call. What was supposed to be a strike was not given one, which led to arguments and then uncalled ejection of Walker without any warning.

Besides, this was not the first wrong call of the game. Walker’s pitch to Juan Soto was also supposedly a strike, which was not called for. Furthermore, manager Alex Cora charged into the field and had a heated argument with umpire Estabrook which led to his ejection from the game as well. Though the Boston Red Sox won the match by a 2-0 score, the incident clearly shows the on-field capability of the umpires.
