NEW DELHI: A 55-year-old woman has tested positive for Covid-19 in Noida and has been placed under home quarantine, officials confirmed on Saturday, news agency PTI reported.District chief medical officer Narendra Kumar, PTI that the woman had travelled by train on 14 May. “She is currently under home quarantine. Samples from her family members have been collected and sent for testing,” he said.Authorities in Gautam Budh Nagar district have urged residents not to panic and to continue following safety guidelines, including the use of face masks and hand sanitiser.“The administration is geared up to deal with the situation,” Dr Kumar added.
