NEW DELHI: A driver employed with the state-run transport corporation is facing a departmental probe after a video showing him offering Namaz during duty hours went viral, a senior official confirmed on Wednesday.
The driver, identified as 58-year-old A K Mulla, was seen praying beside a parked bus that still had passengers inside. The incident reportedly occurred two days ago and was captured on video by one of the passengers.
A senior official from the North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) told news agency PTI, “We don’t know why this happened. A departmental inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the circumstances and reasons behind the incident.”
