MUMBAI: The Malwani Police have registered an FIR against a 40-year-old woman for posting a message on social media criticising Operation Sindoor. According to the police, the post surfaced two days ago. On Saturday, a Bajrang Dal member noticed the post and brought it to the attention of Malwani Police before filing a complaint. Subsequently, an FIR was registered against the woman under relevant provisions of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police said the woman owns a beauty parlour. She has been served a notice and issued a warning.

Operation Sindoor was launched by the Indian defence forces in the aftermath of a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
